War Machine, 2022

A 3D video cover version of Michael Snow's seminal structural film Wavelength (1967). Reflecting on Snow's work from a digital vantage point, Wavelength 3D loosely adopts the story and basic formal structures of the original while forging an entirely new path across three-dimensional space and time.

 


This work should be presented through ANGLYPH 3D PROJECTION. No special 3D projector is needed, but Red-Cyan anaglyph 3D glasses are required for exhibition. May be projected, and can also be presented on a flat, 4:3 monitor in a dark space.

What Farocki Taught is literally and stubbornly a remake — that is, a perfect replica in color and in English, of Harun Farocki’s black and white, 1969 German language film, Inextinguishable Fire.

The secret history of hobo and railworker graffiti. Shot on freight trips across the western US over a period of 16 years, Who is Bozo Texino? chronicles the search for the source of a ubiquitous rail graffiti--a simple sketch of a character with an infinity-shaped hat and the scrawled moniker, "Bozo Texino"--a drawing seen on railcars for over 80 years.

Through the floating garden, into the mountain of signs and chants, arise the path of the winged stone. A stone that used to be a fossil.

Ming Wong creates videos that explore performance and issues of race and gender. Born in Singapore of Chinese heritage, and now based in Berlin, his work examines cross-cultural experiences by appropriating scenes of iconic world cinema. Wong casts himself anachronistically as the star, critically exposing the otherness of the relationship of media and world history.

Xiuhtecuhtli, 2023

This is a rhythmic invocation of the ancestral fire, in which dazzling flames reanimate bones and natural elements. This is the shining of color.
